Today is May 22, 2023, my mother’s birthday. I have to admit this day has been more difficult than I imagined. As we honor the day God gave her to this world, we are also reminded that she is not celebrating it with us, but rather in the presence of her LORD! One can only imagine the beautiful experience that she now enjoys in the riches of Christ. As she rejoices in the presence of her Savior, we honor her for the legacy she has left to us. Her greatest joy on this side of eternity was spending time with her family. Her greatest message was for us to love Jesus and love our family no matter what. Nothing in life is more important than the relationship you have with Jesus and the relationship you have with your loved ones. Happy Birthday momma. #youareloved #youaremissed
Mother’s Day is different for me this year. Celebrating with my wife and precious girls but also honoring my mom as she celebrates her first Mother’s Day in the presence of Jesus. I’m sure she and my grandmother are having a wonderful time praising our Savior. Each year I would bring mom a bouquet of wildflowers. She loves them. Today my girls brought the bouquet and this note to honor her as we gathered around the table. #mothersday
